I don't ever use it. No one in my family does. Yet, the beautiful and very old cup sits on the shelf of my antique cabinet and it is VERY important to me! It's on the top shelf for a reason! Not only is it unique in its appearance, but it's special because of what it represents.

It's my great grandfather's moustache cup from 1909. It's 135 years old but as meaningful to me now as I suppose it was to my great grandfather way back then. Why? It tells me something about him, it's nearly the only thing I have of his and I will be able to pass it along to my own sons and their children one day! That means four or five generations will be able to have a piece of my great grandfather's memory in their homes --and I like that.

I am betting that you have these same types of items or keepsakes in your own home. Maybe on a shelf, in the dusty attic, or in a box in a closet. Keep them, treasure them but....share them and their story for the future. My son and their families will know of my great grandfather's cup and story. Will your family know what's special about your item(s)? I hope you will make sure.

Life comes fast and quick and we all have so much to do that keeps us from the important things. Take the time to document the important things. Send the story to us at Collector's Reserve. Register your things, tag them with our beautiful care package, and then rest assured knowing the story is safe with us. Make memories with your family and leave the rest to us.

Here's to passing it on!
